The Brian Tooley Racing BTR91120-16 is a set of sixteen single beehive valve springs engineered as a direct replacement for stock valve springs in Gen V LT V8 engines. These springs are compatible with specific GM engines including the L83, L84, L86, L87, L8T, and LT1, and are designed to work seamlessly with factory retainers and locks. With a .550" maximum valve lift rating, these beehive springs deliver 95 lbs of seat pressure at an installed height of 1.870" and increase to 300 lbs at 1.330". They feature a coil bind height of 1.280" and a spring rate of 386 lb/in, providing enhanced valve train stability for performance applications. Brian Tooley Racing advises against using single wire conical or beehive springs with roller rockers due to potential valve train instability from added mass or possible coil bind issues if a higher ratio rocker is employed.
