The Metra 99-4500 is a professional-grade dash installation kit designed to facilitate the mounting of any standard 2-inch tall single-DIN aftermarket radio into a wide range of GM vehicle dashboards from 1982 to 2005. By providing a clean interface, it simplifies the process of replacing aging factory radios with modern units to improve sound quality. It is engineered to utilize original equipment factory brackets, though it remains compatible with the 02-4544 bracket kit for installations where the original brackets are missing. Important installation considerations include the need for additional components: a specific wiring harness and antenna adapter are required for proper operation, both of which must be sourced by referencing a vehicle-specific application guide. Installation instructions are included, and technical support is available seven days a week.
