The Metra 99-9302 is a radio installation kit engineered to allow for the seamless integration of a 2-inch tall, standard single-DIN aftermarket stereo into the dashboard of select Mini Cooper models. By filling the void left when the OEM head unit is removed, this kit ensures a contoured, factory-style appearance that maintains the aesthetics of your vehicle's interior. The design accommodates standard single-DIN units and utilizes the vehicle's original factory radio mounting points, ensuring a secure and stable fit without requiring modifications to the dash. Compatibility includes the 2002-2006 Mini Cooper and 2007-2008 Mini Cooper Convertible models. Installation requires basic tools to remove the dash panels, and the kit includes all necessary hardware and instructions for a straightforward setup. Please note that an aftermarket wiring harness and antenna adapter are typically required to complete the stereo upgrade, which are sold separately.
