The RKI Crossover Truck Tool Box C-Series Low Profile Black Diamond Tread Aluminum Model C63LPDAB is constructed with a .080 diamond treadplate aluminum hull and a .125 smooth aluminum bottom, all joined with full arc welds for superior strength. It features full-size stainless steel paddle latches recessed into the ends, synchronized for opening/locking from either side, and includes two keys. The lid is equipped with two gas pressure shocks for one-hand opening and is made of .080 diamond treadplate aluminum with a .090 smooth aluminum inner stiffener. Two spring-type lid props assist in opening and closing. The lid is attached to the hull with two 4" stainless steel butt hinges and four 4" aluminum butt hinges with 1/4" hinge pins, all welded to the box and lid. It includes a sliding tray (19-1/4" x 14-3/4" x 2-1/4") with a white super durable polyester powder coat finish and four adjustable dividers. Tray stops keep the tray centered when not in use. A ribbed D-Bulb seal in the lid ensures a weather-resistant seal. Black boxes undergo a five-stage metal pretreatment anti-corrosion protection system and are finished with a super durable black polyester powder coat. Mounting hardware consists of an extruded aluminum clamp that eliminates the need for drilling through the pickup bed rail, with a plastic isolator to prevent scratching and galvanic corrosion.
