Single-Mass Billet Aluminum Flywheel

The JB Racing Aluminum Lightweight Flywheel is engineered to significantly reduce the high rotating mass found in stock E30 325i flywheels, particularly those from 12/86 onwards. This reduction in static weight and Moment of Inertia (MOI) allows the engine to rev more quickly, facilitates faster shifting, and makes rev-matching considerably easier. JB Racing flywheels are CNC machined, zero-balanced to eliminate vibration, and feature a replaceable hardened steel clutch surface that is bolted on, not riveted. Standard inclusions comprise a factory starter ring gear, heli-coil inserts for the pressure plate to prevent stripping during clutch replacement, a hardened steel gaul plate, captive design 10mm dowel pins, all metric pressure plate hardware, and flywheel, pressure plate, and dowel pin bolts. The new weight is 8 pounds compared to the stock 16 pounds. This flywheel is specifically designed for E30 325i models from 12/86+ and E30 325ix models from 8/87+. We recommend using a sprung-hub clutch disc with this lightweight flywheel to minimize noise and drivetrain stress.
