Single Turbo Kit with 2.5" Stainless Steel Y-Pipe

The On3performance turbo system is engineered for 1998-2002 F-body Camaro and Trans-Am models, specifically designed to retain the factory A/C system and utilize a BMR turbo K-member. This comprehensive kit includes a unique, proprietary passenger-side cast On 3 Performance V-banded manifold and a cast driver-side manifold that maintains the original 3-bolt mounting flange. The hotside components are complete, featuring a 2.5" stainless steel Y-pipe that connects to a high-flow merge, keeping the radiator in its stock location. The standard turbocharger offered is a 70mm unit, proven on the manufacturer's shop car for over 2,000 miles, capable of supporting up to 600-650rwhp. For higher output demands, options range from 76mm to 84mm turbos, available with billet compressor wheels and ceramic ball bearings. The kit provides a 3-piece downpipe that routes to the stock cat-back exhaust system, offering flexibility for a manageable exhaust note or an open downpipe configuration. The cold side features a 2.5" aluminum charge pipe feeding into a 3" pipe transition to the throttle body. It comes standard with a 3" On 3 Performance bar and plate intercooler, with a 4" core option available for high-boost applications or built engines. 5-ply On 3 Performance silicone couplers and t-bolt clamps ensure secure connections, while bead-rolled aluminum pipes prevent blow-offs under boost. Note that this kit is designed without a MAF provision, assuming most builds will utilize speed density tuning. Installation considerations include the turbocharger's high mounting position, which can lead to oil backing up into the turbo if the oil drain has a horizontal transition to the pan, potentially causing oil seepage and turbo damage. To mitigate this, an optional On 3 oil scavenge pump is available, which can also facilitate oil return through the oil filler cap, avoiding the need to tap the oil pan. No warranty is included on the turbocharger unless the optional oil scavenge pump is purchased.
