Each connecting rod is subjected to comprehensive quality control measures, including X-ray inspection, sonic testing, magnafluxing, and shot-peening to relieve internal stresses and ensure optimal material performance. These rods feature floating wrist pins and are secured with 12-point ARP Wave-Lok rod bolts made from 8740 chromoly steel, known for their high tensile strength (190,000 psi). The set is meticulously weight-matched to within two grams, ensuring a balanced rotating assembly. Precision machining of the big end bore diameter is handled by Eagle's in-house CNC equipment to guarantee accurate fitment and consistent performance across all rods in the set. These connecting rods are sold as a set of 8 and feature a 6.800-inch center-to-center length with a 0.990-inch big end width. They are not clearanced for stroker applications. The product is available in both press-fit and bushed pin models, with this specific model (SIR6800B) being the bushed version suitable for full-floating piston pins. They are compatible with various V8 applications, including Chevrolet Big Block, Ford Big Block (stroker applications), Ford FE (stroker applications), and Pontiac 400/455 (stroker applications).
