The Eagle Specialty Products SIR6000SBLW I-Beam Connecting Rods are engineered for performance and reliability, offering an upgrade from reconditioned stock rods for Chevrolet small block engines. Forged from robust 5140 steel, these rods are built to withstand demanding conditions and feature a lightweight design that reduces stress on your engine's rotating assembly, potentially increasing engine life and supporting high-rpm operation. Each connecting rod in the set undergoes rigorous testing, including X-ray, sonic, magnaflux, and shot-peening processes to ensure material integrity and stress relief. They are equipped with 12-point ARP Wave-Lok rod bolts made from 8740 chromoly steel, boasting a tensile strength of 190,000 psi. The set is weight-matched to within two grams for balanced performance, and the big end sizing is precisely controlled by in-house CNC equipment. Installation requires specific torque settings; users should torque to 40 ft-lbs using only ARP moly lube. The specific application is for Chevrolet-Small Block engines. These rods are not clearanced for stroker applications.
