The Ultima/Midwest Six Speed Builders Kit (P/N: 98-902) is designed to upgrade Big Twin motorcycles from a 5-speed to a 6-speed transmission. This kit is compatible with most 1990-1999 models with minimal or no modification required. The kit provides a 6-speed gear ratio with specific ratios including 1st gear at 2.94:1, 2nd at 2.21:1, 3rd at 1.57:1, 4th at 1.23:1, 5th at 1:14, and 6th at 0.86:1. Installation considerations include the need for a speedometer recalibration unit on some 1996-2000 and all 2001 and later models. For 5-speed type 2000/Later models, additional minor modifications may be necessary. The trap door on this kit is thicker than stock, potentially requiring modification for any trap door-mounted brackets. Additionally, all Touring FLT and FLH Models from 1993 onwards require an oil filler spacer (#89-14).
