SK Series Twin Disc Clutch

The Monster Clutch Co. SK Series Twin Disc Clutch is a performance-oriented clutch kit specifically designed for the Chevrolet Camaro Gen 5, offering a robust solution for high-horsepower applications. It features a unique full Kevlar™ based twin-disc design, capable of handling up to 800 RWHP/RWTQ. The SK Series clutch utilizes a factory GM LT1 based pressure plate that has been modified for increased performance, paired with Kevlar™ clutch discs. This combination allows for a significant increase in power handling compared to carbon organic options, making it ideal for demanding use cases. The package includes a CNC machined 24lb billet steel flywheel, pilot bearing, and alignment tool. All assemblies are balanced to less than 0.100 OZ/IN for superior performance and reliability. This clutch is highly recommended for street driving, drag strip use (with numerous recorded 9-second passes), and road course/HPDE/autocross events. It is also compatible with a wide range of modifications, including nitrous, superchargers, turbochargers, strokers, and bolt-on upgrades. However, the manufacturer advises against using this clutch for drifting due to the rigorous demands it places on full-faced friction materials. Note that using an aftermarket master cylinder may increase pedal effort and reduce the engagement window. The base package includes the clutch assembly, Kevlar™ discs, a 24lb billet steel flywheel, pilot bearing, and alignment tool.
