The Victron Skylla-TG 24/50 GMDSS battery charger is designed for GMDSS (Global Maritime Distress & Safety System) applications, providing all required monitoring and alarm data. Both the battery and the GMDSS system connect directly to the charger. Data and alarms are displayed on a digital panel (VE.Net GMDSS panel, sold separately) via a standard eight-wire UTP cable. It features one full-rated output and one 4 Amp output. The charge voltage can be precisely adjusted to suit any VRLA or flooded battery system, with direct measurement on battery terminals to compensate for cable resistance voltage loss. An external sensor allows for battery temperature measurement and corresponding charge voltage compensation. The system is "click and go," with pre-programmed panels for GMDSS functionality and an intuitive menu for settings adjustments. It also includes a built-in battery controller that monitors capacity and can indicate "time to go" during power outages.
