SL-Core Aluminum Radiator

The Megan Racing SL-Core Radiator is engineered to provide enhanced cooling for 1999-2005 Mazda Miata MX-5 models, specifically including Mazdaspeed variants equipped with manual transmissions. Its "Super Light" core design allows for the largest possible heat exchanger without compromising the position of radiator fans, which is critical for the tight clearances found in Mazdaspeed Turbo models. This radiator offers subtle cooling benefits while maintaining maximum clearance. Constructed entirely from aluminum, including both the tanks and the primary core, this radiator offers a significant upgrade over stock plastic-tank radiators that are prone to cracking and leaking over time. The 34.5mm thick heat-exchanging core is designed for improved efficiency in transferring heat from the coolant and increases the overall coolant carrying capacity of the system. Designed as a complete bolt-on application, the SL-Core radiator is intended to work with factory components like fans and A/C condensers. However, due to a slight increase in overall size, upgrading to high-capacity, slim radiator fans is suggested for optimal performance. Note that some slight trimming around the sides and the lower outlet tube may be required during installation. This radiator is suitable for street driving and mild High Performance Driving Events (HPDE) days. For high-performance track cars aiming for 350hp or more, it may not be sufficient.
