Overview

The SLE Catless Downpipe is an upgrade for the MK7 VW Golf GTI equipped with the 2.0 TSI engine. It offers gains in performance, throttle response, and sound by eliminating the restrictive factory catalytic converter. This reduces backpressure, improves turbo spool, and delivers a louder exhaust note. The downpipe is constructed from T304 stainless steel and is TIG-welded with back-purging for durability and strength.

The SLE Catless Downpipe is engineered to enhance the performance of the MK7 VW Golf GTI (2.0 TSI, 2015-2020). By removing the factory catalytic converter, this downpipe significantly reduces exhaust backpressure, leading to improved turbo spool, increased horsepower, and a more responsive throttle. It also produces a louder, more aggressive exhaust tone. It features TIG-welding with back-purging, ensuring robust construction capable of withstanding high boost and heat pressures. This downpipe offers a direct bolt-on installation for the specified models, requiring no modifications. This product is intended for OFF-ROAD OR RACING USE ONLY and is not legal for use on public roads in vehicles subject to emissions regulations. A stage 2 ECU tune is required to prevent a check engine light (CEL). While it is designed for the MK7 GTI, it may fit other 2.0 TSI MQB-platform vehicles with slight adjustments.
