The Ksport Slimline Big Brake Kit is engineered for aggressive street driving and racing applications, specifically for the 2003-2007 Mitsubishi Evolution 8/9. This kit addresses the challenge of fitting large aftermarket brake calipers into tight wheel clearances, a common issue with aggressive wheel fitments. Ksport's innovative Slimline caliper design is based on the thickness of OEM single-side piston calipers, ensuring compatibility with most factory wheels or those with limited brake clearance. This kit boasts a 3-piston forged aluminum caliper paired with 304mm (12") diameter, 2-piece vented rotors. The caliper's design provides a larger brake pad surface area for superior braking performance. The slotted rotors, constructed with a 2-piece design featuring an aluminum center, reduce rotational mass, leading to quicker braking response and shorter stopping distances. This construction also minimizes the chance of rotor warpage by allowing for more restricted expansion and contraction of the outer iron section. Key features include cast iron rotors, drilled and slotted rotor styles, and a fixed hat construction. The kit comes with street-performance brake pads. For enhanced pedal feel and response, stainless steel brake lines are included to prevent expansion under high temperatures and pressures. The minimum required wheel diameter for this kit is 16 inches (406.4mm).
