The Ksport Slimline Big Brake Kit is engineered to provide a significant braking performance upgrade for Volkswagen MK4 Golf 1.8T vehicles. This front big brake kit features a 3-piston caliper design with 330mm x 22mm slotted rotors, offering improved stopping power and heat dissipation. The Slimline caliper design is specifically developed to address the clearance issues often encountered when fitting large multi-piston calipers with aggressive wheel fitments or factory wheels. Constructed with a lightweight forged one-piece aluminum caliper, this system ensures even thickness, strength, and resistance to warping or failure. The caliper pistons are made from aluminum and protected with heavy-duty seals capable of handling high temperatures. The kit includes SC5 Street Pads, known for reducing brake dust and noise while providing optimal performance under street and occasional track conditions. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track use. The two-piece rotor design, featuring a 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum center section, contributes to lower rotational mass for quicker brake response and reduced warping due to independent expansion and contraction of the rotor sections. Slotted rotors are recommended for track use as they help wipe away heat, dust, and gases more effectively than stock. The kit also includes D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which prevent line expansion under pressure for a quicker and firmer pedal response compared to standard rubber lines. The kit comes standard with all necessary components, including calipers, floating brake discs, brake pads, and hardware.
