The Ksport Slimline Big Brake Kit offers a significant upgrade for the front braking system of the Mercedes Benz W201 190E, featuring 350mm x 22mm drilled rotors and a 3-piston caliper. Constructed with a lightweight forged one-piece caliper made from aerospace-quality aluminum, this caliper ensures uniform thickness and strength, eliminating weak spots that can lead to failure. It incorporates aluminum pistons protected by heavy-duty seals for high-temperature performance, ensuring smooth operation and preventing corrosion. The opposed-piston design guarantees consistent brake pad grip and wear, while standard features include high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The two-piece rotor design contributes to lightweight, fade-free performance and effective grip. The 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum center sections reduce rotational mass for improved responsiveness and act as heat sinks, dissipating heat faster. The design also minimizes the risk of rotor warping due to heat buildup, leading to a longer service life. Drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles as they run cooler, while slotted rotors are suggested for more track-oriented use. This kit comes standard with SC5 Street Pads, which offer optimal braking performance for street and occasional track use, minimizing dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions. The calipers are available in various standard and premium colors, with extensive custom color options. The kit includes D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which prevent hose expansion under pressure for a quicker pedal response and firmer pedal feel.
