The Ksport Slimline Big Brake Kit provides a significant brake upgrade for the BMW E60 and E61 5-Series models. The caliper pistons are made of aluminum and protected by heavy-duty, high-temperature seals. An opposed-piston design ensures consistent brake pad grip and wear. These rotors utilize 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum center sections for reduced rotational mass and improved heat dissipation. The two-piece design also minimizes rotor warping from heat buildup. Standard components include SC5 Street Pads, which offer optimal braking performance for street use and occasional track conditions, with reduced brake dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions. The kit also comes with DOT-compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which prevent hose expansion under pressure for a quicker pedal response and firmer pedal feel compared to stock rubber lines. Customization options are available, including various caliper colors, rotor styles (cross-drilled recommended for daily driving, slotted for track use), and upgrades for the center bell and hardware.
