The Ksport Slimline Big Brake Kit offers a significant upgrade for the front brakes of your BMW E61 5-Series. This monoblock design eliminates weak spots, ensuring consistent strength and preventing issues like fracturing or warpage over time. The caliper pistons are made from aluminum and protected with heavy-duty, high-temperature seals, while titanium retainer clips and stainless-steel wear plates further ensure durability and smooth operation. The kit includes two-piece rotors with a 350mm diameter and 22mm width, designed for reduced weight and fade-free performance. The rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Ksport offers both Cross Drilled rotors, recommended for daily driving due to cooler operation, and Slotted Rotors, recommended for track use as they help manage heat more effectively. The center sections are crafted from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, reducing rotational mass and improving brake response. This two-piece design also allows the rotor sections to expand and contract independently, minimizing the risk of warping. Standard equipment includes SC5 Street Pads, providing optimal braking performance for street and occasional track use, with reduced dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions. The kit also features D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which enhance pedal response and feel by preventing expansion under pressure.
