The Ksport Slimline Big Brake Kit is engineered for the BMW E39 M5, offering a significant upgrade in braking performance and aesthetics. The kit includes lightweight forged one-piece aluminum calipers, known for their strength and even heat distribution, preventing warping and failure. The pistons are aluminum and protected by heavy-duty seals capable of handling high temperatures. Opposed-piston design ensures consistent brake pad grip and wear, with standard features like high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The two-piece rotor design contributes to reduced weight and fade-free performance. This two-piece construction also allows for independent expansion and contraction of the rotor sections, minimizing warping due to heat. Standard cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily drivers due to cooler operation compared to slotted rotors, which are suggested for track-focused vehicles. D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are included, providing a quicker pedal response and firmer pedal feel by preventing line expansion under pressure. This kit comes standard with SC5 Street Pads, offering optimal braking under street and occasional track conditions, with reduced dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for those prioritizing extreme track performance. The calipers can be customized with a wide array of colors, including standard painted options and premium high-polish finishes. Center bell upgrades, such as Titanium or Twin Color Anodized options, are also available. All Ksport Big Brake Kits include a 12-month limited warranty covering manufacturer defects.
