The Ksport Slimline Front Big Brake Kit is engineered to provide enhanced braking performance for the Volvo S40 FWD. This kit features a substantial 350mm x 22mm two-piece rotor and a lightweight, forged one-piece caliper, designed to offer superior stopping power and heat dissipation compared to stock systems. The caliper itself is a highlight, constructed from a solid billet of aerospace-quality aluminum for maximum strength and even thickness, eliminating weak points and preventing warping or failure. Standard features include high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel wear plates. The two-piece rotor design contributes significantly to the kit's performance. It's designed for light weight, with the center sections crafted from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, reducing rotational mass for quicker response and improved brake feel. The independent expansion and contraction of the outer rotor section from the center section minimizes warping due to heat. The kit comes standard with Cross Drilled rotors, recommended for daily driven vehicles due to their cooler operating temperatures, or offers Slotted Rotors for those prioritizing track performance and heat management. The kit includes calipers, floating brake discs, brake pads (with an option to upgrade from the standard SC5 Street Pads to RCI Race Pads), and all required hardware, including CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets to facilitate a direct bolt-on fitment.
