The Ksport Slimline Big Brake Kit is engineered to provide enhanced braking performance for the 2005-2007 Subaru Impreza STI. Recognizing the challenge of fitting larger brake calipers with aggressive wheel fitments, Ksport developed the Slimline Caliper. This design maintains a caliper thickness comparable to OEM single-piston calipers, allowing for greater wheel clearance and compatibility with factory or tightly spaced aftermarket wheels. This kit includes forged aluminum 6-piston calipers and 304mm (12-inch) slotted, vented 2-piece rotors. The rotors feature an aluminum center to reduce rotational mass, contributing to quicker braking response and shorter stopping distances. The 2-piece construction also helps mitigate rotor warpage by allowing for less restricted expansion and contraction. For improved pedal feel and response, the kit incorporates stainless steel brake lines that resist expansion under high temperatures and pressures. The kit is intended for performance and racing driving styles.
