The Ksport Slimline Big Brake Kit is engineered to significantly upgrade the braking performance of your 2013-2018 Scion FR-S. Ksport developed the Slimline Caliper to maintain a thickness similar to OEM single-side piston calipers, ensuring compatibility with most factory wheels or those with very tight brake caliper clearance. The kit features a forged aluminum 6-piston caliper, which provides a larger brake pad surface area compared to OEM pads, leading to enhanced stopping power. The rotors are 330mm (13-inch) in diameter, constructed in a 2-piece design from slotted, vented cast iron with aluminum centers. This construction reduces rotational mass, improves braking response time, and shortens stopping distances. The 2-piece design also minimizes the risk of rotor warpage by allowing for more restricted expansion and contraction of the outer iron section. The kit also includes stainless steel brake lines, which are crucial for preventing expansion under high temperatures and pressures, resulting in a faster and more consistent pedal response. The caliper comes in a vibrant orange finish, and the pads are street-oriented for a balance of performance and daily drivability. This kit requires a minimum wheel diameter of 17 inches (432mm) to clear the larger caliper and rotor assembly.
