The caliper pistons are aluminum, protected by heavy-duty seals capable of handling high temperatures, and an opposed-piston design ensures consistent brake pad grip and wear. Standard features include high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The center sections are crafted from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, reducing rotational mass for quicker stopping response. This design also allows the outer rotor section to expand and contract independently, minimizing warping due to heat buildup. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily-driven vehicles as they run cooler, while slotted rotors are suggested for track use due to their heat, dust, and gas dissipation capabilities. Included in the kit are SC5 Street Pads, offering optimal performance for street and occasional track use with reduced dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions.
