The Ksport Slimline Big Brake Kit is engineered as a front brake upgrade for the Audi B9 Q5 Quattro. The calipers utilize opposed pistons for consistent brake pad grip and wear, and are equipped with high-temperature seals, titanium retainer clips, and stainless-steel wear plates. The kit includes two-piece rotors measuring 350mm (13.8 inches) with a drilled surface. Drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles as they run cooler than slotted rotors and offer increased bite while continuously cleaning the pad surface. The two-piece rotor design includes lightweight center sections made from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, reducing rotational mass and improving brake response. This design also allows for independent expansion and contraction of the rotor sections, reducing the chance of warping due to heat buildup. The kit comes standard with everything necessary for installation, including calipers, floating brake discs, brake pads (SC5 Street Pads are standard, with an option to upgrade to RCI Race Pads), and all required hardware. Carbon steel caliper brackets are included to ensure proper fitment to the OEM caliper bracket location. D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are also standard, providing quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. Ksport offers customization options for the caliper color, including standard painted colors and premium high-polish finishes, as well as nearly limitless custom color choices for an additional fee.
