The Ksport Slimline Front Big Brake Kit is engineered for the Audi MK1 TT, providing a significant upgrade over stock braking systems. It comes complete with everything needed, including calipers, two-piece floating brake discs, SC5 Street Pads, and all necessary hardware. The caliper itself is a lightweight, forged one-piece monoblock construction made from aerospace-quality aluminum. This design eliminates weak spots found in cast or welded calipers, preventing fracturing, warpage, and failure. It features aluminum pistons protected by heavy-duty seals for high-temperature operation, ensuring smooth and even brake pad wear thanks to its opposed-piston design. High-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates are standard. The two-piece rotor design contributes to lightweight, fade-free performance. The rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily drivers as they run cooler, while slotted rotors are suggested for track use to manage heat, dust, and gases more effectively. This kit includes SC5 Street Pads, designed for a balance of street and occasional track use with reduced dust and noise. For dedicated track performance, an upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available, offering superior stopping power at higher temperatures but not recommended for street use. The system also allows for extensive customization, including a wide array of caliper colors and optional upgrades for titanium or twin-color anodized center bells. A 12-month limited warranty against manufacturer defects is included.
