The Ksport Slimline Front Big Brake Kit (BKMD220-332CO) offers a significant upgrade for the Mercedes-Benz W212 E-Class, enhancing braking performance for both street and track use. This kit is designed with a lightweight forged one-piece caliper, constructed from aerospace-quality aluminum to ensure strength and eliminate weak spots that can lead to failure. The caliper features an opposed-piston design for consistent brake pad grip and wear, along with high-temperature seals, titanium retainer clips, and stainless-steel wear plates. The lightweight center sections are made from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, lowering rotational mass for improved responsiveness and quicker brake response. This design also reduces the chance of rotor warping due to heat expansion. The kit comes standard with SC5 Street Pads, known for their reduced dust and noise, and optimal performance within a temperature range of 194°F – 1022°F. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions, though these are not recommended for street use due to their higher optimal operating temperature (482°F – 1472°F). The kit includes everything needed for installation: calipers, floating brake discs, brake pads, and all required hardware. Carbon steel caliper brackets are included to ensure a direct bolt-on fit to the OEM caliper bracket location. Stainless-steel braided brake lines are also standard, providing a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel compared to stock rubber lines.
