The Ksport Slimline Big Brake Kit is engineered specifically for the 1997-2001 Mitsubishi Mirage, offering a solution for fitting aggressive aftermarket wheels on factory body vehicles. Traditional big brake kits often have calipers too large to clear the limited space between the caliper and the wheel. Ksport's Slimline Caliper addresses this by adopting a thickness similar to OEM single-side floating piston calipers, allowing for greater wheel clearance. The calipers utilize aluminum pistons with heavy-duty seals, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The system includes 13-inch two-piece drilled rotors, crafted with lightweight 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum center sections to reduce rotational mass and improve brake response. The two-piece design also helps mitigate rotor warping from heat buildup. Included in the standard kit are two forged, monoblock aluminum calipers, two lightweight two-piece rotors (slotted or drilled), a set of SC5 street brake pads, two stainless steel brake lines, and all required mounting components and hardware. The D.O.T. compliant stainless steel braided brake lines provide a firmer pedal feel and quicker pedal response compared to stock rubber lines. SC5 street pads offer optimal braking for street and occasional track use, with reduced dust and noise. An optional upgrade to RCI Race Pads for extreme track conditions is also available. Ksport Big Brake kits are built to order and typically require 4-6 weeks for production and delivery. All Ksport Big Brake Kits come with a 12-month limited warranty covering manufacturer defects.
