The caliper's opposed-piston design ensures consistent brake pad grip and wear, while high-temperature seals, titanium retainer clips, and stainless-steel wear plates contribute to its durability under demanding conditions. The 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum center sections lower rotational mass for improved brake response and reduce the risk of rotor warping due to heat expansion. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles due to their cooler operating temperatures, while slotted rotors are suggested for track use to manage heat and wipe away debris. The system also includes D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which prevent expansion under pressure for quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. Standard SC5 Street Pads are included, offering optimal braking performance for street and occasional track use, with reduced dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for those seeking maximum stopping power under extreme track conditions, though these are not recommended for street use.
