The Ksport Slimline Front Big Brake Kit provides a significant upgrade to your MINI R56 Cooper's braking capabilities. Designed as a sophisticated, bolt-on system, it offers enhanced stopping power with minimal installation effort and typically requires no vehicle modifications. This kit comes complete with everything needed for installation, including calipers, floating brake discs, brake pads, and all necessary hardware. The calipers are constructed from a lightweight, forged one-piece aluminum billet, ensuring uniform thickness and superior strength to prevent fracturing, warpage, or failure. They feature opposed pistons for consistent brake pad grip and wear, along with high-temperature seals, titanium retainer clips, and stainless-steel wear plates for durability and optimal performance under demanding conditions. The rotors feature 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum center sections that reduce rotational mass for quicker stopping and improved brake response. The two-piece design allows for independent expansion and contraction of the rotor sections, reducing warping due to heat, and the aluminum center sections act as heat sinks to dissipate heat more effectively, contributing to a longer service life. Standard equipment includes SC5 Street Pads, offering optimal performance for street use with reduced dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions. The kit also features D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which prevent expansion under pressure for a quicker pedal response and firmer pedal feel.
