The Ksport Slimline Front Big Brake Kit is engineered to enhance the braking performance of the BMW E28 M5. This system utilizes a lightweight, one-piece forged aluminum caliper, designed with a slim profile to accommodate various wheel sizes. The caliper construction eliminates weak spots, ensuring strength and durability, while its opposed-piston design promotes consistent brake pad wear. High-temperature seals, titanium retainer clips, and stainless-steel wear plates are standard. The kit features two-piece rotors, which are significantly lighter than OEM one-piece rotors, reducing rotational mass and improving brake response. The rotors are available in Cross Drilled or Slotted options; Cross Drilled are recommended for daily driving as they run cooler, while Slotted rotors are better suited for track use due to their heat, dust, and gas dissipation capabilities. The rotor's two-piece design also helps mitigate warping from heat buildup. Standard inclusion is the SC5 Street Pad, offering optimal performance for street driving and occasional track use, with reduced dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions. D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are also standard, providing a firmer pedal feel and quicker response by eliminating line expansion under pressure. The kit includes CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets for direct fitment to OEM locations. Customization options for caliper color and center bell upgrades are available.
