The Ksport Slimline Big Brake Kit is a high-performance braking upgrade for the Audi B8 Q5 Quattro, specifically for the front axle. This kit is engineered with a focus on easy installation, requiring minimal tools and no vehicle modifications in most applications. Constructed from a lightweight forged one-piece caliper made from aerospace-quality aluminum, this system offers superior strength and durability, eliminating weak spots that can lead to fracturing or warpage. The caliper features aluminum pistons protected by heavy-duty seals for high-temperature resistance, ensuring smooth and even brake pad wear. It also includes high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The independent expansion of the rotor's outer section from the center section minimizes warping due to heat buildup, and the 6061-T6 aluminum center sections act as effective heat sinks. Standard with the kit are cross-drilled rotors, recommended for daily driven vehicles as they run cooler, or an option for slotted rotors for track-focused use. This Big Brake System comes standard with SC5 Street Pads, offering optimal braking performance for street and occasional track use with reduced dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions. The kit also includes D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which prevent expansion under pressure, leading to a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel.
