Slimline Front Big Brake Kit

The Ksport Slimline Big Brake Kit provides a significant upgrade for the front braking system of your BMW E53 X5. The kit includes everything needed for installation: calipers, floating brake discs, brake pads, and all necessary hardware. The caliper itself is a lightweight, forged one-piece aluminum design, offering superior strength and even thickness distribution to prevent failure over time. The opposed-piston design guarantees even grip and wear on both sides of the rotor, complemented by high-temperature seals, titanium retainer clips, and stainless-steel wear plates. This kit utilizes a two-piece rotor design, available in cross-drilled or slotted options, for lightweight, fade-free performance and effective grip. The rotors are approximately 50% lighter than OEM equivalents, reducing rotational mass for quicker response and improved braking feel. The two-piece construction allows the outer rotor section to expand and contract independently, minimizing warping from heat. The center sections are crafted from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, acting as effective heat sinks. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles as they run cooler, while slotted rotors are better suited for track use. Customization options include a choice of caliper colors, street or race pads, and optional upgrades for the center bell, such as titanium or twin-color anodized finishes. The kit comes standard with SC5 Street Pads, offering a balance of performance, reduced dust, and noise, suitable for street and occasional track use. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions. All Ksport Big Brake Kits are made-to-order and come with a 12-month limited warranty covering manufacturer defects.
