This kit provides enhanced stopping power and is specifically engineered for the BMW E82 1-Series with a 330x22mm rotor size. The caliper is a lightweight, forged one-piece design crafted from aerospace-grade aluminum, ensuring strength and even thickness to prevent fracturing, warpage, and failure. It features aluminum pistons protected by heavy-duty seals for high-temperature performance, an opposed-piston design for consistent brake pad wear, and includes high-temperature seals, titanium retainer clips, and stainless-steel wear plates. The lightweight 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum center sections reduce rotational mass for improved brake response. The design allows the outer rotor section to expand and contract independently, minimizing warping due to heat. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles as they run cooler than slotted rotors, while slotted rotors are recommended for track use due to their ability to wipe away heat and gases. Included are D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines for improved pedal response and feel, and SC5 Street Pads which offer optimal braking performance under street and occasional track conditions with reduced dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions. The kit comes with CNC machined Carbon Steel caliper brackets to ensure proper fitment to OEM locations.
