The Ksport Slimline Front Big Brake Kit offers a significant upgrade for your MINI R56 Cooper's braking performance. This system is engineered with a lightweight, forged one-piece caliper crafted from aerospace-quality aluminum, ensuring superior strength and even thickness to prevent warping and failure. It incorporates high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel wear plates for durability under demanding conditions. The opposed-piston design promotes consistent brake pad wear on both sides of the rotor. This kit features a two-piece rotor design, which significantly reduces rotational mass and improves brake response. The rotors are available in cross-drilled or slotted options; cross-drilled are recommended for daily drivers due to cooler operation, while slotted rotors are better suited for track use as they manage heat more effectively and provide superior pad cleaning. The lightweight center sections are made from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, acting as heat sinks to prolong rotor life. Standard SC5 Street Pads are included, offering optimal performance for street and occasional track use with reduced dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions. The kit comes complete with calipers, floating brake discs, brake pads, and all necessary hardware.
