The Akrapovic Slip-On Line (Titanium) is a newly designed exhaust system crafted for enhanced strength and durability, featuring a titanium muffler with an imprinted finish. This system provides a significant weight saving of 32% (1.3 kg) over the standard stock exhaust, directly contributing to improved performance and handling. The engineers at Akrapovic focused on several key aspects during development, including achieving a deep sound, optimizing throttle response, and enhancing the overall aesthetics of the motorcycle. The construction utilizes a high-grade titanium muffler outer sleeve, complemented by a carbon-fibre end cap and a link pipe, inner structure, and heat shield made from high-grade stainless steel. Performance gains are modest but measurable, with a documented power increase of 0.3 kW (0.4 hp) at 8,750 rpm and a torque rise of 0.3 Nm at 5,000 rpm, as tested on the Akrapovič dyno. The system features plug-and-play installation, meaning no remapping of the motorcycle's ECU is necessary. It meets EC/ECE type-approval certificate requirements for Euro5+, the regulation effective from 2024 onwards.
