The Mad Hornets Sloppy Mechanics Stage 2 Camshaft Kit is engineered for LS1 and compatible LS-series engines, offering an aggressive profile for a distinctive lopey idle and significant power gains. The camshaft specifications include an intake valve lift of .585" and an exhaust valve lift of .585", with advertised durations of 283° intake and 286° exhaust. At .050" lift, the durations are 228° intake and 230° exhaust, with a lobe separation of 112° and an intake centerline of 108°. The included beehive valve springs have an outside diameter of 1.290 inches, a spring open height of 1.175", and a spring rate of 313 lbs./in., with an install load of 130 lbs at 1.800". Compatibility is for Chevy LS-Series Engines from 1997 onwards, specifically excluding models with AFM/DOD (Active Fuel Management/Displacement on Demand). It fits various engine displacements including 4.8L, 5.0L, 5.3L, 5.7L (LS1, LS6), 6.0L (LS2, LQ4, LQ9, LM7), 6.2L (LS3), and 7.0L (LS7). Automatic transmissions will perform best with a 2,600-2,800 RPM stall converter. The package includes the camshaft, valve lifters, and push rods, along with screw and spacer sets. This kit is intended for vehicles with factory roller applications without Active Fuel Management. The included pushrods are specified at 5/16" diameter, 7.400" length, and .080 wall thickness. It also fits factory roller LT1 engines from 1993-1997 and other 305-350 Chevy engines.
