Description

The DBA DBA533S is a performance brake rotor from DBA's Street Series, featuring the patented T2 slot design. The high-carbon alloyed iron construction increases the rotor's heat capacity, and TSP heat treatment enhances resistance to cracking and warping under stress. The T2 slot design features bi-symmetrical slots that are precisely CNC machined to reduce glazing and improve pad bite, contributing to a more responsive and smoother brake pedal feel. The rotors are vented for efficient heat dissipation and incorporate DBA's Kangaroo Paw ventilation system, which uses diamond and teardrop-shaped pillars to increase surface area and improve cooling efficiency. Thermo-Graphic paint is also included to help monitor brake temperature. Specific fitment includes: 1999-2003 Ford Escort (Rear Disc), 1999 Mercury Tracer (Rear Disc / Rear Drums), and 1991-1998 Mazda Protege (with specific notes on front caliper casting numbers and DOHC applications for earlier models).
