Narrow slots are incorporated to minimize air noise. Each rotor features a Thermic Black anti-corrosion coating that does not need to be removed before installation. This coating will wear off in the pad swept area within the first 10 to 20 stops. Attempting to remove the coating with brake cleaner or other methods will void the EBC warranty. The primary advantage of slotted rotors is their promotion of flat and parallel pad wear, preventing the ridges that typically develop on pads with drilled-only rotors, thus maintaining brake consistency throughout their life. These rotors are specifically designed for the 2008-2015 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, including the 4B11T CZ4A Evo X GSR and MR models. They are sold as a pair. A critical installation note: do not fit upgrade pads to the rear of the vehicle unless the same upgrade is fitted to the front.
