Small Battery Kit

The STM small battery kit is a lightweight mounting solution designed for the 2001-2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII, VIII, and IX. By replacing the heavy factory battery with an Odyssey PC680, this kit significantly reduces front-end weight and opens up critical space in the engine bay to accommodate aftermarket intercooler piping. The tray is constructed from tig-welded billet aluminum with CNC engraving and stainless steel hardware for a durable, direct-fit installation using existing chassis bolt holes. Compatibility is specific to 2001-2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII, VIII, and IX models (both JDM and USDM). This kit does NOT fit vehicles equipped with the factory intake airbox. Please note that batteries cannot be shipped outside of the continental USA, and this kit is intended primarily for racing applications. It is not recommended for daily drivers or vehicles equipped with aftermarket stereo systems. Installation requires careful attention to detail, specifically torquing battery posts to 50 inch-pounds to prevent damage. Because these batteries are often used outside of their intended design specifications, STM does not provide a warranty for the batteries themselves, though the aluminum battery tray is covered by the STM Lifetime Guarantee. A CTEK MXS 40-206 charger is recommended for maintenance, especially during extended periods of inactivity or freezing temperatures.
