This coil features a built-in 19-amp IGBT ignitor, making it suitable for coil-per-plug applications.

The AMP EFI IGN1A Smart Coil is engineered for high-performance applications, offering a substantial 103 mJ of spark energy and a 2.9 ms spark duration. This output surpasses many conventional capacitive discharge systems, eliminating the need for an additional CDI module. Key features include an integrated 19-amp IGBT ignitor, which makes it an ideal choice for coil-per-plug configurations in demanding engine builds. The coil is directly compatible with MS3Pro and MS3X ECUs utilizing 5V logic and can be adapted for MS1/MS2 systems with the addition of a 270–330 ohm pull-up resistor, ensuring versatile integration. While the IGN1A is designed for sequential or wasted spark systems, it is not recommended for use in distributor setups due to thermal limitations, operating at a maximum duty cycle of 40%. It also requires HEI-style plug wire boots for proper function. The product is available with either a 4-foot flying lead pigtail or a connector and pins kit for installation flexibility. Please note that exceeding the specified dwell or duty cycle can lead to coil damage, and this product is intended for motorsports use with no manufacturer warranty offered.
