Smart-Tech Clutch Kit

The Sonnax Smart-Tech clutch kit (77734-01K) is engineered to optimize clutch capacity and prevent burnup in GM 4L60, 4L60-E, 4L65-E, and 4L70-E transmissions. This kit is specifically recommended for use with Sonnax Smart-Tech input housings. This kit contains eight BorgWarner High Energy friction plates, each .067 inches thick, and seven Lindered steel plates. The design allows for a taller clutch pack by accommodating an additional OE-thickness friction and steel plate, significantly enhancing the transmission's ability to handle increased torque and heat. The kit includes five steel clutch plates measuring .095 inches thick and two steel clutch plates measuring .107 inches thick. This precise combination of friction and steel plates contributes to improved clutch performance and durability.
