The Victron Energy SmartSolar MPPT charge controller is designed to maximize energy harvest from solar panels and optimize battery longevity. It features ultra-fast maximum power point tracking (MPPT) technology, which is especially beneficial in conditions with changing light intensity (e.g., partial cloud cover). Multiple SmartSolar MPPT controllers can synchronize for system-wide energy optimization. It offers remote monitoring and control via the VictronConnect app (Bluetooth) or the Victron Remote Management Portal (VRM) when connected to the internet with a GX device. The charge controller can recharge severely depleted batteries, operating with battery voltages as low as 0 Volts (provided cells are not permanently sulphated or damaged). It also includes an intelligent load output feature that allows direct powering of devices and automatic disconnection of loads if the battery voltage drops too low.
