The Smittybilt HD Pivot Tire Carrier (MPN 7743) is designed for 2018-2026 Jeep Wrangler JL and JLU models (2 and 4-door), specifically excluding 392 and 4xe variants. This carrier replaces the factory spare tire mount and can support an oversized spare tire up to 37 inches in diameter with a maximum weight capacity of 135 lbs. Constructed from strong monoblock aluminum with forged chrome mounting brackets that are 30% stronger than steel, it features hardened hinge points for durability and to prevent tailgate sag. The carrier maintains the easy single-action operation of the tailgate and includes protective EPDM gaskets to prevent damage to the factory finish. A third brake light mount is also included. It has a no-drill installation.
