Snake Charmer Cold Air Intake System for 6.0L LS2

The Vararam VR-SC1 "Snake Charmer" is a cold air intake system engineered for the 2005-2007 C6 Corvette Base models featuring the 6.0L LS2 engine. This system moves beyond a simple airbox replacement, utilizing a ram air design focused on forward-facing airflow to enhance performance for both street and track applications. It promises stronger airflow, sharper throttle response, and a more aggressive induction sound compared to the stock intake. Constructed using a roto-molded upper for a seamless internal aero package and a vacuum-formed lower scoop for application-specific flexibility, the VR-SC1 is designed for maximum efficiency at speeds ranging from 10 mph to 180 mph. The kit includes a custom-designed, deep-pleated, washable, and reusable green filter from Donaldson, offering increased filter area and flow capacity over standard filters. Crucially, the VR-SC1 does not require a tune for installation and operation, making it a convenient upgrade for stock and lightly modified combinations. Installation involves basic hand tools and requires trimming of the radiator shroud and front air inlet area for proper fitment. While the performance gains on a dyno are estimated at 10-15hp, Vararam claims significant gains once the vehicle is in motion, with potential increases of 32-37 rear wheel hp through a mile and an estimated 7-10 MPH increase in top speed. The intake's airflow is meticulously balanced into the mass airflow meter, reportedly achieving uniformity within 1 mph across the entire circumference at high speeds. This intake is compatible with 2005-2007 Chevrolet Corvette C6 Base models with the 6.0L LS2 engine, available for both manual and automatic transmissions, and coupe and convertible body styles. It is noted that rainwater will not affect the unit unless the nose of the car is submerged.
