Description

The Silv-O-Lite S1173H.040 is a hypereutectic aluminum piston designed for Ford V8 engines. It features a flat top piston style with no valve reliefs and a bore size of 4.090 inches. The piston includes a press-fit wrist pin and has a compression height of 2.120 inches.

These pistons utilize an aluminum alloy high in silicon for increased strength, scuff resistance, and seizure resistance. They also offer improved groove wear and resistance to cracking in the crown area. The Silv-O-Lite pistons are available for various applications, including light trucks, autos, and imports.
