The VANOS 11361432532 is a Genuine BMW VANOS solenoid valve, manufactured in Germany, designed to control variable camshaft timing in specific BMW cylinder heads. This critical component functions by pressurizing engine oil, which in turn manipulates the position of the intake camshaft. Over time, these solenoids can become clogged with debris, leading to a range of performance issues and the illumination of the Check Engine Light. Symptoms of a failing VANOS solenoid include poor engine acceleration, hesitation, a general reduction in power, and unstable or rough idling. These issues arise because the incorrect valve timing affects the engine's ability to breathe properly across different RPM ranges.
