The Valeo 52151203 is an OEM quality solid flywheel conversion kit, manufactured in Spain, designed to replace the failure-prone dual-mass flywheels found in many manual transmission vehicles. This kit includes a solid flywheel, pressure plate, clutch disc, throwout bearing, and all necessary flywheel mounting bolts, providing a comprehensive solution for restoring your Mini's performance. Converting to a single-mass flywheel offers significant cost savings, improved serviceability as it can be resurfaced, and increased reliability due to its simpler design. This specific conversion kit is designed for R53/R52 Cooper S/JCW models with W11 supercharged engines. It is explicitly stated that this kit is NOT compatible with Gen 2 MINIs (R56) equipped with N14/N18+ turbo engines. Proper installation requires specific torque values for flywheel bolts (90 Nm with red thread lock) and pressure plate bolts (20 Nm). Due to the nature of lightened single-mass flywheels, there is a possibility of added "NVH" (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) or "chatter" during operation. This can be influenced by accompanying modifications.
