Solid Linkage Upgrade

The JHM Solid Linkage Upgrade is designed to provide a full mechanical race car feel for B6/B7 S4 and RS4 6-speed transmissions. This upgrade replaces the OEM rubber/plastic socket assembly with a steel spherical bearing, significantly reducing shifter sloppiness and improving shift precision for both street and track use. The kit includes a JHM Modified OEM shift shaft link (updated with weight for shifting ease), a JHM Modified Steel Spherical bearing, stainless steel spacers, all necessary hardware, loctite, and synthetic grease. It's important to note that this linkage is located at the transmission and is separate from the shifter itself. While it complements the JHM Solid Shifter and Delrin Shifter Stabilizer Bushing, it will also enhance any existing short-throw shifter kit. Installation of this linkage rod is time-consuming and is easiest performed during a clutch or downpipe replacement. However, it can be done independently, though doing so alongside other major jobs can save on labor costs. The kit comes as a complete do-it-yourself package, with the only modification required being some cutting of the OEM linkage rod for proper clearance. Other than this minor modification, it is a full bolt-in kit. This product fits the following Audi models: RS4 (B7 Chassis, 2006-2009, 4.2L V8 FSI), S4 (B7 Chassis, 2005.5-2009, 4.2L V8 40v), and S4 (B6 Chassis, 2003-2005, 4.2L V8 40v).
