This conversion offers greater durability compared to dual-mass flywheels, which are often difficult to machine when warped and can be expensive to replace. The solid mass flywheel provides a durable solution with minimal compromise in driving comfort.

The Valeo 835115 is a solid mass flywheel conversion kit engineered as a durable replacement for original dual-mass flywheels. This comprehensive kit includes the solid flywheel, pressure plate, clutch disc, throwout bearing, and all necessary flywheel and pressure plate bolts, providing a complete solution for clutch replacement. Dual-mass flywheels, common in newer BMWs for enhanced driving comfort, can be challenging and costly to repair or replace when damaged. This Valeo kit offers a robust alternative, converting the system to a solid mass flywheel. This design enhances durability and offers a more cost-effective long-term solution, with claims of little to no compromise in driving comfort. Key components include a forged flywheel with a 240mm clutch plate diameter. Note that two styles of release bearings are included; they must be matched to the existing release arm's bearing for proper installation. This conversion kit is not compatible with standard self-adjusting clutch kits. For a separate service kit, refer to Valeo part number 828533. Using Valeo aftermarket parts ensures OEM-level quality, fit, and finish for easy installation.
