The Nismo Solid Short Shifter is a performance upgrade designed for 5MT manual transmission vehicles. It reduces shift throw by approximately 10%, offering a more direct and solid shifting feel. This shifter is compatible with various Nissan Silvia and 180SX models from the early 1990s to the early 2000s.

This component provides a 10% reduction in shift throw, leading to quicker and more precise gear changes. The solid construction minimizes deflection, offering a more connected feel to the drivetrain. This shifter is specifically designed for 5-speed manual (5MT) transmissions. While it uses genuine Nissan part numbers, it is important to note that installation should only be performed on applicable vehicles. Failure to do so can result in an inability to shift gears and potential damage to the shift collar and snap ring. Due to the hardening of the rubber components within the shifter assembly, users may experience an increase in transmission noise and vibrations being transmitted through the shift lever. This is a common characteristic of performance-oriented solid shifters. Compatibility is primarily for JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) vehicles. Specifically, it fits numerous Nissan 180SX (KPS13, RPS13) and Silvia (PS13, S14, S15) models with SR20DE and SR20DET engines, as well as 5MT transmissions. However, it is explicitly noted as incompatible with the S15 Turbo model and Autech Version. The manufacturer advises that compatibility information is for JDM cars only, and they do not guarantee fitment.
